Adopting Families
The organization’s flagship project is adopting families for lone soldiers, both male and female.
Bait Cham Lekol Chayal recruits adopting families from all over Israel, who undergo a thorough screening process.
Each soldier is matched with a family according to their native language, religious background, and geographic choise. Both the families and the soldiers receive professional support throughout the entire adoption period.
To date, the organization has placed hundreds of soldiers with adoptive families, and many of them maintain close ties with their families even after completing their military service.
Adopting a soldier is a human commitment and a big responsibility, a family that opens its home for a soldier commits to providing suitable living conditions for the duration of his/her military service.
We select only the suitable families out of the many hundreds that apply annually.
These families open their homes and hearts towards the lone soldiers, offering them a warm place, a listening ear, companionship, holiday meals, laundry service and above all, a place that they can call their own.
Lone soldiers leave from base to their adoptive families during vacations, holidays and weekends.
Families who are interested with adopting a soldier are invited to complete the Adoptive Family Registration Form.
